Ingredients

  • 2 cups cannellini beans (cooked or canned, drained)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add tomato sauce, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cannellini beans and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Add pepperoni slices if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
